Miles and Miles of Smiles...

Smiles ! How can someone hate smiles you might wonder... how much of a sociopath or how messed up that person must be !!?!
Well...perhaps it is true...perhaps not...but ykwih? I hate smiles regardless of how people categorize them.

If you set aside the one or two true types of smiles that carry something worthwhile and of which you are sure, you will see that almost all the smiles we run into during our days are fake gestures loaded with feelings of carelessness, disrespect, dishonesty, disgust, distrust.

I've seen smiles sharper than the edge of a betrayal knife, ones that make you feel all warm and nice before you realize that the heat is because you've been set ablaze and others that could make you feel like the least significant thing on the face of this earth

I have smiled back as well...with the dry bitter taste of acid repugnance in my mouth making sure I keep my teeth so nicely clinched together....and I hate myself for it...

Instead, I will stick to frowns....they tend to be way more honest, and much more straight to the point...they say..I dislike you, I hate you, I am upset with you, I am upset with myself...I have issues and now would be the time for you to NOT come and smile to me...

So...please...a Frown...My Kingdom for a Frown....

Some weddings and a few funerals...

So it's that time of the year where wedding invitations just come pouring on you...and some of them you enjoy while others you just cannot ditch...and with all that comes the nuisance of being all smiles and friendly and greeting people whom you normally would need an anti-acid to swallow !

So what's it with having to be all friendly with people you dislike...if not worse.
If people are happy at weddings and good humour could excuse this...what excuse is there for funerals...

Someone who totally disrespected the dead person, did his best in life to walk all over them, suddenly comes and stands in line looking all nice and posh and accepting condolences with the utmost grief !

But above it all do YKWIH ? it's when someone decides to take the "opportunity" to reconcile people over someone's funeral ! This is so out of line I cannot begin to describe it...
This is simply saying that the dead person was the only thing holding back this reconciliation and by his death the road is clear for people who hate each other's guts to get back into loving mood..since the bad influence is gone !

Well no thank you I think I'll pass this one...
I'd rather still go do a classic "heeey how are youuuuu , long time no seee" in the face of some half-wit at some wedding I have to attend for some obscure reason that I don't even want to remember what it was !

Ashes to Ashes But Please No Smoke!

I could probably fill pages on why I hate smoking. Why I hate smokers, actually I hate most of them not all...well this is speaking of the ones who are still alive for me to hate them for it...

But seriously, I hate smokers who live in denial of what smoking does, I hate smokers who expect me to respect their choice of self-intoxicating themselves while they refuse to respect my choice of not sharing that dreadful end with them.
I hate social smokers who have to go outside on a balcony when it's -3 degrees to smoke while socializing with a snow blizzard.

I hate narguileh smokers who insist they are not smokers but just "blow" a bit...They refuse to say they are addicts yet somehow every outing with them has to involve a pipe with tobacco on one side and bubbling water on the other.

I hate how a perfectly breathtaking girl can suddenly lose all her charm just as she picks up the cigarette box and pulls one out...
I hate how smokers' breath smells...and I hate that I felt like I was kissing an ashtray when I did end up going out with a smoker ...

So for heaven's sake...if you really want to fulfill the "Dust to Dust and Ashes to Ashes" statement then by all means do that...but while I am around...No Smoke please!

So...now...YKWIH...well...part of it...Smoking ...to be continued !
